Data sources

EVDash · evdash.nl and the EVDash iPhone app · effective 21 October 2026

EVDash uses data from the providers below. We credit them here as their licences require.

Speed cameras: OpenStreetMap

Speed-camera locations (fixed cameras, red-light cameras and section control) are derived from OpenStreetMap data, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. We use the Europe extract provided by Geofabrik and rebuild the file every night.

The resulting Europe-wide speed-camera file is itself available under the ODbL: download speedcameras.json.

Country borders: Natural Earth

Country borders (used on your iPhone to know which country you are in) are made with Natural Earth, free vector map data in the public domain.

Maps: Apple Maps

Maps and route lines in the app are provided by Apple Maps (MapKit). Map data © Apple and its data providers.

Your car

Live car data is read directly from your own car over Bluetooth and stays on your iPhone. EVDash is not affiliated with Tesla, Inc.
